Builder Only Insurance Informational Meetings
In conjunction with various local HBA/BIAs throughout California, CBIA and HCIC are sponsoring builder-to-builder informational luncheons to discuss the benefits and challenges of the alternative insurance market—namely risk retention groups. Attending one of these is an excellent opportunity for a builder to get direct and accurate information about the Home Construction Insurance Company (HCIC), the CBIA sponsored risk retention group developed by builder members as an alternative to the traditional insurance market. Generally, HCIC policyholder/owner builders are on hand to answer questions about the program from a peer builder's perspective. Attendance is recommended for CEOs, CFOs, Risk Managers, or any other staff involved in procuring general liability insurance coverage for a given builder.
